Magic Touch Salves

About Blue Oaks Organics
Our salve story goes back generations.  My grandfather grew up on his grandfather's farm and went on to run an experimental farm for Cambridge University.  He also established a bird habitat preservation campaign to promote hedgerows for agricultural environmental gain. He earned an MBE for that beneficial work and had tea with Her Royal Majesty.  My grandfather, Alfred 'Jim' Hall also gave speeches about the high cost of chemical farming and it stuck with me. At Blue Oaks Organics no chemical fertilizers or poisons go into our soil, plants, or animals.

Today, we grow productive, integrated hedgerows of herbs and other beneficial plants. Our herbs thrive and expand in a permaculture regenerative farming practice.  Our synergistic hedgerows not only produce herbs for our salves, but also helps protect the animals of our area. We feed birds, bees, and our blind racoon, Sally.  Plus, we feed us so we can care for the plants and animals that thrive in our environmental oasis.

Ana with a crow

When I was a child I was obsessed with being in the garden and nature. My first full mural painting was done with prickly pear juice when I was too young for kindergarten.  From there I always gardened, worked for nurseries and college horticulture departments, including U.C. Davis.  Being horticulturally obsessed plus utterly artsy, I took on my mothers salve business and made all the amazing salves even amazinger!

I also, did a stint preparing for Veterinary School at U.C. Davis and spent time with doing animal rescue with Fish and Game.  Naturally, I trained animals, rescued many aged horses, had crows, cats and more when I was growing up.

And a painting studio was built with my painting partner, Phil Dynan, to paint in and garden with, and then animals started showing up. A friend says I have animal magnetism.  I think they see the garden I love and want to live in it too.  So we have salves that benefit many beautiful beings.  We hope you enjoy the salves and knowing you are benefiting the environment and fellow beings - including you!
